WHAT IS IT?
Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (MA‑OEP) is a special period ONLY for people already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan. It allows one change, and any switch takes effect the first day of the following month
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Switch to another Medicare Advantage plan — with or without drug coverage.
Drop MA and return to Original Medicare — and optionally add a Part D plan.
Make exactly one change — once used, the window closes until Oct 15
WHAT YOU CANNOT DO
Switch Part D plans unless leaving MA — PDP changes alone aren’t allowed.
Make multiple changes — only the first submitted change counts.
